Over the past decade, Shire has experienced significant growth through a number of acquisitions and the addition of numerous products into our portfolio.
Now, as we enter a new highly focused phase of growth, we are building on our functional strengths by organizing our efforts around Strategic Therapeutic Areas led and managed by cross-functional teams. Currently, the structure includes three Therapeutic Areas (TAs): Central Nervous System (CNS), Gastro-Intestinal (GI) and General Products/Renal (GP).
The objective how we work is to bring together teams of highly talented employees, provide the appropriate focus and resources, and charge them with managing products from development through to commercialization and ongoing lifecycle management.
